Boost Home Decor with Wall Decor

April 30th, 2008

We realize all matter of furnishings are needed when the homeless becomes “with home” and we are here to help that cause.

Wall decor can set the dimensions of your room by hanging some nice colorful works of art on the walls. It sort of “puts” the walls there in the room. A fancy koi fish tapestry wall hanging is wonderful, but so it the artwork of your children to hang on the walls.

Whatever the decorations for the walls may be, be sure to add something cheerful and colorful to help make your new house a home.

Add Warmth to Your Home With an Area Rug

April 25th, 2008

It does not matter how fancy your new house is, you want to make sure you turn it into a home, as soon as possible. One way to do that is to add an area rug to the main or your favorite room in your home. The room where your family and friends gather to chat and play games.

Kids can sit on the rug a not a drafty floor, and adults will sit in chairs placed strategically around the rug.. making a nice focal point in the room and a definitive area to sit and enjoy each others company in comfort.

Donations have been plentiful with home decor accessories, mainly area rugs… lots of them have been coming in… thanks.

Kazak Rugs

April 17th, 2008

You’d be surprised to know that donations do include oriental rugs. They are not in good shape, but even a thread-barren oriental rug is amazingly beautiful and boy are they durable. These old area rugs will hold up another 10 years or more, and that’s when it’s probably over a hundred years old already. Of course, a well cared for rug can last an lifetime and then through the next generation, too.

The great big important and popular ones are the handmade authentic Oriental Kazak Rugs. Well sought after are these rugs with their bold colors and geometric patterns originating form the Orient. We are on the look out for the Kazak rug and maybe one day we shall get lucky.

Kids Rugs

April 11th, 2008

We received another batch of wonderful donations from our good people that care. One stood out to us, as it was and oriental rug. It was small and tattered, but was probably so beautiful in the colors and craftmenship in it’s day… what a surprise to get this sweet little area rug.

We ended up giving it to a small child who came in with his mother and a pack of dogs. The little girl wanted a nice bed for her doggie. We felt it was not much use more than to make this little girl happy and run out the door to her pup and give him a hug and put the little rug down for him to lay upon. And the doggie actually lay down right on the rug and the little girl right beside him.

Simple pleasures.

Kids Rugs to Grown Up’s Area Rugs

March 14th, 2008

We love our kids and kids rooms rock with kids rugs and other cool playroom decor. Sometime we need to think about us adults and our home decor needs in terms of area rugs.

Beautiful area rugs can change your home to luxury, southwestern style, modern or contemporary rugs styles in the blink of an eye. Watch a room transform when you bring a cool floor covering into your home. It can bring the wall decor together with the furnishings and basically just tie it all together really well.

A cheap carpet can wreck the room… just as fast. So, find a fabulous rug to lay on top of the ugly carpet and it helps. Sometimes it’s enough.
