Homeless Get Creative in their Home Decor
Wanna see a homeless person put into a house and make it a home and watch them transform into a happy at last non-homeless person, well you can. We've been creative in finding donations of things to help with their home decorating needs. They in turn are taking these items home and putting up pictures to enhance their wall decor.
We even were given an old tattered tapestry as a donation. One women went to pieces over it and took it with her to her new home and one of our college student helpers, pounded some nails in the wall with brackets... took an old broom handle and then carefully helped safety pin the tapestry to the handle. It looks beautiful and it's a start for this woman in making her new house a home. The smile told the whole story.
